THE SHOW
VENEZIA the show is a unique way to discover more of the history and traditions of Venice and have a few laughs along the way.

Its a show that helps you to understand the Venice behind the mask, and at the same time be thrilled, entertained and informed through the “great acting” of the live cast and the “stunning surround projections” that provide the amazing backdrop to their incredible story.

The year is 1913. In a final blaze of glory at the end of an era, a Venetian family of costumiers gather, both to create the perfect costume for the notorious Marchesa Louise Casati and to rehearse a historical entertainment they have devised for her Grand Venetian Ball.

Midst the family squabbles and laughs they pull costumes from their racks and reveal the story, traditions and some of the scandals behind the mask of Venice, from its earliest settlers to its greatest triumphs, entertaining with stories of some of its famous residents, Doge Falier, Marco Polo, Goldoni, Vivaldi, Wagner, lord Byron and of course Giacomo Casanova.

Addressed to an international audience VENEZIA is performed in English with audio guides in other languages.

VENEZIA is a drama with moments of comedy that brings more than 1000 years of the history of this great city alive.

VENEZIA has been described as
‘SIMPLY THE BEST SHOW IN TOWN”

WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT US

“The best way to learn the history of Venice”
This was absolutely my best experience in Venice. In the beginning the entrance fee sounded a bit expensive but after seeing the performance, it was well worth it! We learned about the history of Venice and after visiting we could actually link what we were seeing with what we heard.

If I would do one thing in Venice this would be it.

“At the theatre.. The history of Venice... and in English!”
The show is really entertaining, this is theatre on a large scale, due to the floor-to-ceiling projections. It would be suitable for all ages from teens to adults.

“Very Informative and Very Entertaining Show”
I attended the show with my family. It was very entertaining and informative at the same time.
The show had very talented actors, it is an introductory to Venice history in a very amusing way.
We had a great time and we highly recommend it

“Brilliant, Entertaining, Interesting, and well produced.”
Bought as a little 'present' for our trip to Venice to Celebrate My Fiancee's Birthday. The show was great - VERY Entertaining and absorbing - the cast of 5 taking on various roles throughout the engaging performance. The side and back projections added to the story telling, increasing the drama and scope. We hope to see the show again this coming November as we once again visit Venice - for our Honeymoon.

“Very interesting Show”
The show is very interesting, funny and instructive. I can recommend it to anyone. The show is completely in English and is well understandable. I will come back in September and I will see it again. It's really that good!

“Great show!”
We went to see Venezia the show for the second time. A well acted interesting and intelligent show about the fascinating history of Venice. A welcoming theatre, great costumes and atmosphere. Makes your stay in Venice all the more enjoyable as you want to go out and explore the city after hearing the stories in the show. We loved it!
